The International Solidarity Fund was created a few years ago with the aims to

• Promote exchanges between regions where there is currently little volunteer exchange
• Increase the numbers of volunteers who participate in South-South and South-North exchanges
• Develop partnerships and capacity building of member organisations through the exchange of volunteers

Joining the Fund(pdf) is an act of solidarity and it does not necessarily mean that a given organisation having joined the Fund will use the Fund in the following year, since the money can benefit other organisations in the list with a clear priority for South-South exchanges.
